So people are supposed to OSRS Gold play with a singleplayer game
So people are supposed to OSRS Gold play with a singleplayer game and never speak to anyone because everything is about the wiki and there's no justification for creating talks. No wonder public chat is dead relative to ten years ago and folks speak more about politics than about Runescape, since politics is based on opinion rather than on the wiki. I get it. The wiki did not exist for a lot of players. When I originally started (then quit, then proceeded to OSRS years later) we did not have a wiki. It is really just a case of"I learned Runescape the hard way, you can also" imo.
That kinda the essence of the playerbase, elderly people who have been playing forever for the most part. No one wants to be bombarded with questions and I'm sure the men and women who sit on this sub refreshing by feel that way. Anyhow I don't think I've played Runescape with all the wiki closed in ages. I am certainly reading pages if I'm not pvming. It sucks while skilling however that I don't lose sleep over it that I read the wiki than talk to people beyond the clan.
There's two issues really. New players making question's about Runescape, then getting downvoted without an answer. The solution is that the Weekly Megathread which I think solves the issue of collecting everyone with Fundamental Questions into one location (you know those answers already). However, I do not believe in the Subreddit users here, I believe just a couple of them will redirect these new users to the Megathreadothers will just answer their questions, while the others will still downvote them (that is the problem this post concentrated on, as fas as I am aware).
Redirecting OSRS players into the subreddit. However, users make a fantastic job already by redirecting those individuals there, and there's the Subreddit link on the bannerads, under Partner Subreddits, there. However they downvote them. Both the Downvotes here, and also the majority of users are such as the ISR, there is no escaping them. You cannot comment anything constructive since they biting at your ankle.
From the OSRS and pathofexile subreddit that I frequent not every single small question gets asked in the megathread, some people continue to create their own threads asking themand over the years I've barely ever seen anyone even mention, they simply reply it as normal. No demand for every question although not everyone who has a question wants to create their own thread. It's the problem that is downvote, perhaps they think it doesn't justify you, not sure where most of them endure but I have read about several reasons like those. My train of thought is that if a player sees a stickied megathread they feel welcome to ask things because there's a place made to do so. I see it as the difference between someone inviting you versus welcoming you.
The worst time I have had playing Runescape
Tried to do a duo in corp for a few hours each night and got our kill shot every time. Folks might wait with a scout until corps stats empty to zero run in with two accounts, one with move and one smacking a crystal halberd against it. We attempted using the personal portalsite, but the 200k feels like a punishment for attempting to play Runescape legit as well as it slowed our kill time since we needed to wait to enter in as not to eliminate the case. I know this has been an issue for a long time, but when we do not keep reminding the Jmods that it is a problem nothing will ever get done. I hope this will not come off as whiny. It just felt watching people grief for hours on end. Individuals that are too lazy to put in the work for a kill are, farming just a bummer which sigils. This is definitely the most helpless I've ever felt playing with Buy Old School RS Gold.
