Primovir and Paxista Usesis to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. Primovir and Paxista active ingridiant Nirmatrelvir & Ritonavir. This medication is a penicillin-type antibiotic. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This antibiotic treats only bacterial infections. It will work for viral infections (such as the common cold, flu). Using any antibiotic when it is not needed can cause it to not work for future infections. Paxista and Primovir Usesis also used with other medications to treat stomach/intestinal ulcers caused by the bacteria H. pylori and to prevent the ulcers from returning.

Take this medication by mouth every 8 to 12 hours, with or without food, as directed by your doctor. The dosage is determined by your medical condition as well as your response to treatment.

Continue to take this medication until the full prescribed medicine is finish, even if symptoms disappear after a few days. Stopping the medication too early can increase the chance of bacterial overgrowth, which can result in the infection returning.
