From inviting iconic characters onto the Primegreen adidas Stan Smith to frequently collaborating with environmental organization Parley, adidas has actively been devising ways to innovatively embrace sustainable footwear design. The Three Stripes’ creative endeavors continue with the Adidas UltraBoost 22 Men “Nature Lab”—a women’s-exclusive that applies recycled materials for a bold, multi-patterned look.
This new arrangement boasts a black Primeblue upper, which is a high-performance recycled material made in collaboration with the eco-conscious organization Parley. For a monochromatic look, the lace cages and heel counter are in matte black. Even the often-white Adidas UltraBoost 22 Women foam sole unit opts for a black fitting for this particular arrangement. Set to debut in six colorways between December 6th and 9th, the Adidas UltraBoost 22 Sale promises the same energy-return of its predecessors – in particular its direct one. PRIMEKNIT+ construction throughout the upper follows the same pattern, while also boasting partly-recycled Parley Ocean Plastic yarn. Midsoles feature the same amount of BOOST foam as on the Adidas UltraBoost 22 Cheap, with their drop remaining at a 10 mm drop. The shoes continue to promote the Three Stripes’ LEP (Linear Energy Push) technology and re-arranged stretchweb outsole with Continental™ rubber. Based on data from female runners, the German sportswear behemoth has included additional lugs on the outsole to create a more centered transition.
