Whether it be the UK music scene, fried chicken bites from Japanese conveni, or happy…pineapples, the Nike Air Max 90 Sale has served as a dutiful canvas for Nike to test out some funky colorway concepts. Whether it be adding simple patterns on the upper, or completely remolding the heel plate, Nike Air Max 90 Men design team has fine-tuned their experimentation with the silhouette as the model entered its 31st year in existence.
With vintage arguably at its peak, Nike’s inline colorways have gradually started to reflect eras long gone. Such is the case for the upcoming Nike Air Max 90 Cheap “Driftwood,” which some draw comparisons to the past’s “Escape” ancestry. To better mimic older pairs, the midsole hues a light cream. Above, the mesh base, lining, and lace unit seem to follow suit, forgoing the use of true whites near entirely. Elsewhere, the Swoosh hues its synthetic textile a dark black like that of the heel tab whose branding complements the caramel-colored quarter panel and PU mold underfoot. Adjacent, a far darker shade of brown rounds off the scheme along both the eye stays as well as the mudguard.
Nike Sportswear’s forthcoming “First Use” collection already includes different Nike Blazer Mid, Nike Air Force 1 and Nike Air Max 90 Women styles, but it continues to add tallies to its roster. The latest offering arrives in the form of a classic Tinker Hatfield design clad in shades of “University Blue”.
