I thought about submitting the story to this yesterday evening, but got busy. This might only kill consoles for me. In Canada matches are now 79.99 + tax. To $90, that brings games in Ontario. That means games will probably be $100, if prices go up. If I need a steelbook edition, I am looking at nearly (going by standard prices) $150. Then if they wish to do a whole lot of
MT 2K21 add-ons or even DLC? It's unacceptable. Especially since salaries are stagnant, and we're in the middle of a pandemic.
I had a hard time justifying $30 for No Man's Sky. Thankfully NBA 2K21 was fun enough that I believe it was worth it. At $100? Hell no. Hopefully this is only Take two being greedy fucks, however I guess that due to how well sports matches market (because people seem to delight in these copy and glued yearly releases) other publishers won't be long to follow.
Lso, em, if they increase the game price, you bet they will increase the expense of expansions and DLCs to reflect the base price. Gon na make things more pricey and decrease many titles people would be able to afford. Playing on PC is much more economical it is not even amusing. Turns out a software market pushes prices down to basically free. Who knew that could work uh. It's more economical to purchase, but definitely that depends on if you have a excellent machine that is enough.
You do not need an expensive PC to play with games. And it's cheaper justifiable if, like a great deal of individuals, you want to use a computer anyway in your life. I assembled my PC 8 decades back and in that time I've only purchased a few RAM, a hard drive, and replaced the card after. It still plays the latest games in high graphics and higher framerate.I only altered my Gen 1 i5 last year and the GPU is due an upgrade now. My PS4 was a big sorrow purchase when I got it and Killzone Shadowfall performed. Then I didnt find anything that I liked until Horizon on the machine: God of Spiderman and War, Zero Dawn. It has mainly been a mediaplayer.
Consoles have gotten PC hardware at a premium price. They are largely beholden to Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo and also their willingness to invest in servers which results in D/l prices that are shitty. I'm simultaneously interested and incredulous. As (in the UK atleast) the digital copies of Playstation games come almost exclusively throughout the PSstore meaning that the price is always high unless they determine its sale time. This is making me wonder whether consumer watchdogs will start to
Buy 2K21 MT consider notification Sony etc, that they need to allow alternative store fronts.
