New Final Fantasy XIV Cafes Opening in Kyoto and Nagoya
Two new branches of the Final Fantasy XIV Cafe, Eorzea, are opening in June in Japan, bringing the game to fans in more locations than ever.
There are two new branches of the Final Fantasy XIV (herein FFXIV) café Eorzea opening in Japan. The new locations are in Kyoto and Nagoya, the 7th and 4th largest cities in the country respectively. Currently, there are two other branches of Eorzea in Japan, in Tokyo and Osaka.
They have been open for over five years now, and enjoy a steady stream of customers. New locations opening in other cities brings FFXIV to hardcore fans that might not have the chance to easily travel to FF14 Gil the original cafés.
The announcement was made in late May in Eorzea’s official website, along with their menus. They will both open from June 16th, and are listed as only for a limited time, though an end date has not been posted. Local fans are likely hoping that the cafés are available for a long time. The Nagoya location and Kyoto location will have different food and drink menus (with all the prices listed in gil!), and both are heavily themed. Both cafés have plenty of main dishes to choose from, many of which have character motifs or even weapons on them. One particularly striking dessert in Nagoya even looks like crystals.
For drinks, there are plenty of FF14 Items colorful concoctions based on the image of characters or places, Moogle milk tea, and even Japanese sake. The dessert menu for the Kyoto café is also inspired by its location in Japan’s historical heart, with lots of traditional matcha and dango sweets. Everything makes a great celebration after finishing a grueling dungeon. While interior pictures of the cafés have not been released, they will likely have heavy theming as well.
