Hoeg added that other jurisdictions outside of the
WoTLK Gold may weigh in to the transaction as well as they are more likely to exert their own control over details of the deal. "While I'm not certain that the whole deal is likely to be blocked, there might be divestitures or other demands that are made by these regulatory agencies , making the deal appear distinct from the one announced today."
The acquisition is expected be finalized in fiscal year 2023. which provides the businesses with a lengthy time to come up with the details. Hoeg believes that the timeframe is standard for getting their respective ducks in the same row but the timeframe could be affected due to the possibility of regulatory bodies becoming involved.
"I strongly suspect that both Microsoft and Activision are aware that a deal of this size in an industry that
cheap WoTLK Classic Gold has never seen anything like it before will receive a closer scrutiny by acquisition regulators, which means it will require more time. This doesn't mean the deal will be rejected (and certainly Microsoft is likely to not announce it in this manner when they expected a block), but it also doesn't mean that it won't."
