It will give players a pet who can carry them on their backs as they play for the very first time ever. The other bet, Bananas, was a pet available previously of The Burning Crusade that will soon be available to players when they achieve the $500.000 USD stretch goal. Bananas is the son of King Mukla also a notable WoW character who is seen a mention on their Hearthstone card.
Possessing a pet on the back of players isn't going to break the game or radically change what players can expect from the World of Warcraft experience, but it's a good incentive to get players involved in supporting charity. The 2022 WoW Charity Pet Program will run between March 18th and March 26th 2022 through April 26 2022 (or until the final stretch goal is hit) and will support Doctors Without Borders, contributing to the global response of the organization to the COVID-19 epidemic.
