As February draws to
2K22 MT a close, NBA 2K22 is preparing to come to the conclusion of season four of their MyTeam mode, which is scheduled for February 25. Along with that is the announcement of major new features coming to season five. The producer Jonathan Smith joined Constant Walker on the official NBA2K Twitch channel during their Logo Show broadcast, teasing some of the topics in the near future that have the basketball community abuzz.
Although nothing concrete was revealed in the broadcast however, what viewers got was enough to spark speculation on the internet about the details of what NBA 2K22's fifth season will include. Smith dismissed any attempt at digging deeper for more details, but he declared the Wednesday's Courtside Report is coming shortly and that more information will be revealed in the next couple of days.
At 13 minutes, Smith was on the show and was asked an inquiry about the coming season of MyTeam which is a game where players can purchase and collect packs of cards, create teams, and participate around the world in tournaments. Perhaps the most significant news to be announced was the news of the Dark Matter card being the reward for achieving level 40. This is the first time that a card with this rarity could be acquired for free.
Smith didn't mention names, however Smith did say that two new players will be making their debuts on MyTeam which is available at the level 1 of MyTeam and the other one will be a component in The Unlimited series.
