4. Environmental Elevation (Platforms, Ledges)
Role in Combat:
Elevation changes in the arena, such as platforms or Path of exile currency ledges, can provide you with a height advantage or allow you to dodge attacks more easily.
How to Use Them:
Height Advantage: Enemies targeting you with melee attacks or certain projectiles may have limited reach, giving you the opportunity to outmaneuver them from above. Use high ground to dodge low-range attacks, particularly if the enemy’s abilities don’t reach up to higher platforms.
Evading AoE and Projectiles: Elevation can also help you dodge AoE or projectile-based attacks. If an enemy casts an AoE attack on the ground, simply moving up to a platform or ledge can provide an easy way to escape the area-of-effect zone.
Movement Strategy: Moving to a higher ground can give you a better overview of the arena, allowing you to spot attacks and plan your next move. Additionally, vertical mobility (through jumps, teleportation, or dash abilities) can allow you to evade or retreat quickly when needed.
5. Environmental Hazards (Fire, Poison, Lightning Pools)
Role in Combat:
Some arenas feature environmental hazards that can be used strategically against enemies. These areas can cause significant damage over time, such as fire pools, poison clouds, or lightning zones.
How to Use Them:
Force Enemies into Hazards: Lead enemies into these hazardous zones by kiting them towards the area. This tactic can be especially useful when dealing with enemies that use telegraphed attacks or charging abilities. By forcing them into the hazard, you can limit their movement and deal extra damage without risking much to yourself.
Area Denial: If you are facing multiple enemies or boss phases, environmental hazards can be used to control the battlefield. For instance, placing yourself near a fire hazard can push enemies into the zone, causing them to take continuous damage while you focus on their weaker points or abilities.
Evading Attacks: Use hazards to bait enemies into attacking them instead of you. For example, if an enemy uses a large AoE attack, you can lure them toward a poison cloud or fire pit, forcing them to Path of exile currency for sale take damage or causing their attacks to become less predictable.
