Blizzard is confirming that Diablo 4 is still getting from Devon's blog

Blizzard is confirming that Diablo 4 is still getting Set Items Diablo IV Items, though you'll likely have to wait until the day after launch to utilize them in game.

Game director Joe Shely explains during a recent roundtable that reimagining sets in a manner that fits Diablo 4 properly wouldn't be possible before the game's launch in early next year. However, the team is considering including them as part of their live streaming service.

"As we've been building the game, we felt like we could evolve sets in a different method that was different from what we've seen within Diablo 3. However, we wanted more time to integrate sets in the game in an order that could work well with the rest of Diablo 4, so you won't see sets at launch in the game," Shely explains. "We consider sets to be very cool and want to get them right, therefore we're looking at for our live service."

"There's a staff legend in the demo that turns the spell's fireball spell into a triple fireball spell," former game director Luis Barriga told Polygon(opens in new tab) in 2019. "The thing that's different is that, you know, a cast right now in live Diablo 3 gives you bonuses greater than a thousand. I think we're designing the game to be tighter to keep us from getting ourselves into that escalating power curve."

If you're not familiar, Set Items are basically sturdy items of equipment that provide the most power when set up. They're 'set' as they're always offering the same advantages, and, of course they are part of a set. They first appeared in Diablo 2, though it was with Diablo 3 that they became truly dominant. It remains to be seen how they'll impact what happens to the Diablo 4 meta should they come to the game, but there is no doubt that their impact on the unfurling style scene will be felt.

The Diablo 4 beta hasn't convinced me yet cheap Diablo 4 Items, but I'm eager to play even more (Set Items or not).
