"We do not intend to alter the combat from wangyue's blog

A recent beta test for Season of Mastery let  WOW WOTLK Classic Gold players battle it out with enhanced versions of bosses from the game's initial two raids: Molten Core And Onyxia's Lair. Despite the fact that all bosses received the same 100% health boost, and the majority of bosses also receiving extra mechanics that had been eliminated from the game's beginning but players nevertheless made short progress against their adversaries. But that wasn't exactly unexpected the way it was done, with Blizzard noting in an official forum post that they believed that the full impact of changes could "likely not be felt" by longtime players of the game.

"As we watched Beta players in the game as well as listened to their reactions to our changes and restorations that confirmed what we had been thinking prior to the test. Simply increasing the health of mobs and rebuilding a few of the mechanics we had removed did not meet the standards we wanted for a time that focuses on speedier progression and "more difficult" material," Blizzard writes.

For the next test, Blizzard declares that it will be making "significant adjustments" regarding Molten Core and Onyxia's Lair however the objective of the test isn't to render battles so tough that experienced and prepared raid groups will struggle to make progress.

"We do not intend to alter the combat so that they are indistinguishable or fundamentally different when compared to the Classic variants." Blizzard writes. "Our intent is to provide something unique and exciting to buy WOTLK Gold accompany the Season of Mastery that feels very much in keeping with the spirit of the first encounters."
