Earlier this week, Capcom provided ComicBook.com with an in-depth examination of the new content included in Monster Hunter Rise D2R ladder items: Sunbreak. Our preview showed a bunch of hunters fighting an all-new monster Lunagaron with one hunter who is participating in a brand-new type of Follower Quest. Lunagaron is a new kind of monster to be found in the Monster Hunter franchise that resembles the wolf and a dragon.
Lungaron looks to be a tough challenge for players, which is the reason it is why the Switch Skill system overhaul could prove to be useful. Before it was possible to switch a Switch Skill while hunting by customizing their weapons and making it possible to play with a variety of play styles.
With Daybreak players can create two sets of Switch Skills and swap between them in battles. This lets players try out even more combos and playstyles during fights. It is also possible to use Swap Evade with the switch skill swap to get around monster attacks that aren't timed properly.
Although multiplayer is the most popular method of playing Monster Hunter Rise, the new Follower Quest will provide solo players with a different option for playing quests. Follower Quests allow an NPC to be a part of certain combats, and also advance sideplots. Capcom has announced that more Follower Quests will come out in the near future, which will let the NPCs of the game have more opportunities to shine.
We also had a look at the all-new Elgado outpost, which acts as the base players will be using to explore the brand new content available in Daybreak. Then, Elgado offers a range of new NPCs. These include the brand new smithy as well as a merchant.
It also offers the same elements as the village in Monster Hunter Rise d2r items for sale, including Dango shops that include an amazing new cut scene with the Felyne cook preparing a meal with the Hunters.
