why was there suddenly many of these new players on Old School RuneScape? from wilkinson's blog

Fans who are part of The Runelite HD project have taken to a square in Falador in the capital city in one of Runescape's largest kingdoms. The goal was to OSRS gold have protests that resemble the protest World of Warcraft players held in July. The players can be seen in the video below, posting text dialogue criticizing Jagex for their decision, and hashtags like #Free117. Another video shows more people "marching" out of Falador Square.

A some time ago, something peculiar began to take place in a video game known as Old School RuneScape. The game suddenly had a number of gamers who were new to the game and they were acting in the same manner. They were on the field for long periods of time doing the same things over and over again. killing green dragons, harvesting gold, killing more green dragons, and harvesting gold.

It was pretty obvious that these players were gamers refer to as "gold farmer." They were making gold winning the game and then converting the game's gold into real money by selling it off to other players on underground sites. It's been happening for a number of years, and a majority games don't allow it, however it's still happening.

The first question was: why was there suddenly many of these new players on Old School RuneScape? The answer lies in a single collapsed economy. Venezuela. Rampant hyperinflation was undermining the currency of the country. For thousands of Venezuelans the gold from video games had become a currency of security.

Chances are that if you were born in the early 2000s and could access online services, then you likely have played RuneScape. The MMORPG of the early days was the first to introduce an online gaming experience that anyone could access on their browser.

The days are gone when players were required to run Java just to load up their RuneScape character. The last few years have seen the long-running game move mobile and introducing a new game designed for beginners and the old  osrs fire cape service Java version for those looking for a return.
