I'm not sure if this changes are the product of the neverending bitching that each new Madden is simply a roster update or the Madden 23 coins most outrageous offseason of superstar movement I've ever seen, or the iconic namesake of the game passing away this year. It seems like EA Sports is actually going give us stimulation football supernerds just a few crumbs of changes!

No, it's not. I'm sure that the excitement surrounding the inclusion of new features like rings where players chase or hot weather cities with gorgeous women will fade once we find out that the gameplay as well as announcing tracks are the same like the last five Maddens. However, this is an era on the football season when we're thrilled about the changes that have been announced for Madden and are irritated by what the player ratings on our favorite team are and then we realize that we had made a decision about whether or not we'd like to purchase this year's game months ago.

The main point is that until EA Sports wants Madden to be the force it was when we growing up and they'll have to bring in features to Franchise Mode that will make you feel as if you're in the game, which is clearly stated by the guy who is speaking.

I'm talking about billionaire owners holding cities hostage for funding of new stadiums with the threat of moving the team to a new city (London is the new LA), superstars wiping their Instagram of every image that had a team logo, and hold-outs/hold-ins/whatever crazy shit football players do to get a few extra guaranteed dollars playing a sport that has 100 different human car crashes any given Sunday.

However, as it is this man is in command of the sole license accord between EA Sports and EA Sports, there is the smallest chance any of that happens. Oh well. I'll just have to pray that these changes signal the beginning of a new era for Madden while also fully preparing myself for the possibility that they will not be and I'm still hoping for the greatest since I'm an individual who EA can count on to get my $59.99 every single year, even if they don't have the GOAT on the cover.
