The developer Jagex has joined forces with board game developer Steamforged Games to release not only one, but two tabletop games over the course of 2022.

Steamforged Games' collaboration with Jagex is the most recent in a long string of collaborations , bringing several of the biggest gaming franchises into a tabletop environment. The tabletop gaming juggernaut has previously developed board games based on the series like Monster Hunter World and Dark Souls and most recently completed a hugely successful crowdfunding campaign for the Resident Evil 2 board game with over 1 million GBP raised in the first quarter of this year.

The developer is aiming at the Gielinor world and RuneScape with plans to release the board game as well as a core book for the tabletop RPG in the year ahead.
