Despite Nintendo's announcement that there will be no more DLC for Animal Crossing: New Horizons following the release of New Horizons 2.0 and the Happy Home Paradise DLC in late 2021, the amount of content coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been drastically reduced. As a result, holidays and other special occasions tend to be the same from year to year, with only minor variations in the types of items that are available for purchase on a given occasion. Although this helps to keep the game from becoming completely stale, it also means that players who have been playing New Horizons since its initial release in 2020 may not find it worthwhile to complete events that they have already completed. Nonetheless, it can provide a welcome change of pace from the usual daily Animal Crossing Items and tasks of New Horizons, which may be enough to keep Animal Crossing fans entertained until the next game is announced.
There aren't any particularly noteworthy events taking place during the month of March. Even so, players can commemorate a few memorable occasions by acquiring limited-edition items through Nook Shopping, the Able Sisters' shop, buy bells animal crossing new horizons or by experimenting with homemade recipes. The first is Hinamatsuri, which takes place from February 25 to March 3 this year, thanks to the free 1.8.0 update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Day is observed from March 1 to March 14 and, appropriately, includes the addition of the Pie to Nook Shopping. In addition, the New Horizons addition of Shamrock Day in February 2021 will be available between March 10 and 17 in three different ways.
In terms of Nook Shopping, players can commemorate Shamrock Day by purchasing three holiday-themed items: the Shamrock Doorplate, the Shamrock Rug, and the Shamrock Soda, all of which are available for purchase. Also available at the Able Sisters' shop during the week of Shamrock Day in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a seasonal outfit, which can be obtained by popping balloons with the slingshot tool. A rare DIY recipe for the Shamrock Wand can also be obtained by popping balloons with the slingshot tool. Limited-time Nook Shopping events are taking place throughout the month of March this Spring, which means that as the year 2022 progresses, New Horizons players will have even more shopping to do in the coming months.
The Nook Shopping Event Days in April and May of 2022
Players will be able to purchase an interactive Whoopee Cushion item at the end of March 2022, which will last until the first day of April. Nook Shopping events aren't the only things returning to the New Horizons calendar in 2022, as there are several major spring holidays to look forward to.
Animal Crossing players should be aware of a number of important holidays that occur throughout the year. The most well-known of these is Bunny Day, which sparked outrage when it first aired on New Horizons in 2020, animal crossing buy bells and has since gained widespread attention. Many fans were dissatisfied with the fact that essential resources and collectibles were being replaced far too often with eggs. Several changes were implemented in response to the negative response to Bunny Day 2020, which was held in Spring 2021 on the New Horizons game. There is, however, currently no way to completely prevent eggs from appearing throughout the island during the month of April. Players of New Horizons will, unfortunately, have to wait until Spring 2022 before they can enjoy the game once more.
May Day will also return to Animal Crossing: New Horizons in the spring of 2022, as previously announced.
