Skull and Bones Guide – 15 Tips and Tricks You Need to Skull and Bones Items Keep in Mind
It’s hard to believe, but Skull and Bones is finally here. Sailing the high seas can be daunting, especially with many resources to manage, ship types to unlock and understand, and weapons to go through. The game does a decent job of explaining several things, but here are 15 tips and tricks you should remember to truly conquer the seas.
1. Cooked Items Grant More Stamina
While traveling, you’ll harvest lots of different food, from coconuts to bananas, and vendors sell various ingredients. These are good for Stamina gains on the go, but it’s worth cooking them at an outpost for even greater benefits. For example, coconuts restore 40 percent Stamina when cooked instead of 20 percent raw. Considering how easy they are to get, you can stock up and keep consuming them while sailing.
2. Edit Scroll Wheel for Item Shortcuts
Early on, the item wheel allows you to quickly select items during combat. Open the scroll wheel, hover over a slot, and press Triangle or Y to edit the option that appears. You can assign food items or Repair Kits and use them quickly while exploring and fighting. You can even choose the Cooked Food or Raw Food icons, which automatically assign items in those categories without manual selection.
3. Board Ships for More Rewards
Instead of destroying damaged ships, board them to gain slightly more rewards. This is a good way to get Repair Kits and extra Silver, though it can be a bit tricky. Stay roughly parallel to a damaged vessel for the best chance of success. Hold L2/Left Trigger and keep pressing Triangle or Y to board. Ensure you’re not bracing, as this prevents boarding even if the hooks are attached.
4. Upgrade the Crowbar to Farm Shipwrecks
Shipwrecks throughout the world of Skull and Bones contain valuable materials and Silver. To open them, you’ll need the Crowbar, which you obtain from the tutorial quest. Upgrading it should be a priority since it allows for faster farming of Shipwrecks. Some Shipwrecks can’t be opened without higher-level tools, so regularly return to Skull and bones items for sale online a Pirate Den to upgrade them.
