It would be really tough to apply the
Animal Crossing Items spoilers rules. Even with out hacking, a person in say, New Zealand, might have the newest update nearly a full day before I get it in the west coast. They can post a picture that's untrue and not a spoiler for them but it might ruin a surprise for me personally due to the time gap. Everyone knows people time traveling in AC & it's a long haul match, so the risk of being subjected to spoilers is large. This risk & responsibility should be on the individual browsing, not the responsibility of the poster. That being said, I really do think a spoiler flair of some kind would be fine, only to have the option, since it is upsetting to be spoiled on something, and we're just looking for fun here. I have a feeling people would have used to the flair eventually and much more people would start using it!
No problem with the memorial articles here. If it seems to sad for me that day I just keep scrolling.
Agreeing with other comments here--It feels like we need some more flair on the sub, possibly a mega ribbon index of some kind to sort what's dismissing the feed. Or perhaps daily discussion topics? Not certain on logistics but it may help!
My final thought-I believe it would be wonderful to something about the edited photographs, a flair could be nice.
To expand in my opinion: if it is something which's built into the game since launch & occurs yearly (such as NYE, festive season, bunny day etc)I do not care as much about spoilers. I do not like seeing spoilers that come from a hacked switch for new articles (such as Pavé or even Halloween and probably Mario), however I know that it's a danger to see them when I get online following an update. But this is all my view & feelings onto it, and all ways of playing/views on spoilers are valid & acceptable. I've noticed people are extremely enthusiastic about this game, and frequently have conflicting views on topics like this, but that I only want the most people possible to have fun & enjoy the sport & the sub.
It is a tricky subject to navigate due to the long term playing feature of the game. I hope that the mods can get a solution that works best for everyone.
I think some type of spoiler tag could be nice. Understanding stuff early is good for some, but it ruins any excitement I have for an event or new product. The allure in events for me personally is the puzzle prizes, so when they are not a mystery the event only becomes a chore to get things I know about.
The others I think are fine because it stands now. Though if memorial posts become more common, a separate subreddit? I believe it's called may be a nice idea. It would give a place for
Cheap Nook Miles Ticket people who wish to share in their grief or loss, while keeping it separate for people who play this game to escape these things.
