The Mayors will have particular privileges and are being set to become 2K actors of a sort. Here are some of those privileges:

"Affiliation Videos - Mayors will be creating assorted videos throughout their term that will appear in-game about the jumbotrons from the court areas. You can expect your Mayor to emit rallying cries and motivate the members of their Affiliation to do at the peak of their skills. After all, like you, they would like to run The City!

Custom Playlists - Mayors can curate custom music playlists that only play inside their various borough/affiliation boundaries. This is really a fantastic feature in that every Affiliation court area will have its own vibe dependent on the musical selections of the existing Mayor. As you move from 1 court area, you will hear that the music gradually fade away as you get further away. Simultaneously, you're going to be approaching a brand new court area and discover new beats beginning to get louder with every step. It is the small details like this that you may find immerse you fully from the experience of The City!

Can they pick a thematic design that reflects the mascot? Will they just request Laker's courts? They need to be thinking re-election here with every choice made!
